Lebanon

The only part of our area whose water heads for the Wabash, and the county seat carrying a multi-billion dollar industrial buildout.

— The ground here

What Lebanon actually does with water

Lebanon is a genuine outlier for us. It sits in the Sugar Creek basin and drains to the Wabash, not the White. Zionsville, fifteen miles south, sends its water to the White River. Nothing about that changes how a French drain works, but it changes which drainage board, which regulated drains and which watershed rules apply to a project, and those are the things that stall a job.

Lebanon operates a fully separate sanitary system with no combined sewer overflow issues, which is a meaningful contrast with Brownsburg, Speedway and Indianapolis. It also charges a stormwater fee of $5.75 per equivalent dwelling unit per month. Between those two things, Lebanon is one of the more straightforward towns in our area to work in from a compliance standpoint.

What is not straightforward is the scale of what is being built. The LEAP district covers more than 9,000 acres with a major pharmaceutical facility, water piped in from the Upper White River, a large multi-phase wastewater treatment plant expansion and a sixteen-mile effluent forcemain crossing multiple floodways. That kind of buildout reshapes drainage over a wide area and creates a lot of site work on the edges of it. Lebanon covers town lots and farm ground in the same trip: concrete drives and walks in town, culverts and long drainage runs outside it.

— How it works

Every Lebanon job starts the same way

Call or text us

Start with a call or a text to (317) 503-6782. Tell us what is going on in your own words. Water pools by the back door. The old driveway has to go. The yard slopes toward the house. You do not need the technical terms and you do not need a plan drawn up. If it is something we handle we will set a time to come look. If it is not, we will tell you that and point you somewhere better if we can.

We walk it with you

Casey comes out and looks at the actual site with you. This part matters more in dirt work than in almost any other trade. Two back yards that sound identical on the phone can be completely different once you see the slope, the access, the soil and where the water wants to go. Walking it together means you can point at the problem and we can talk through options on the spot, including options that cost you less than what you had in mind.

You get a free estimate by email

After the walkthrough we put the estimate together and email it to you, with the scope of work written out so you can see what is and is not included. It is free and there is no pressure attached. Take your time with it and compare it if you want to. Honest pricing only works if you have room to check it.

Free, in writing, with no obligation to move forward. A deposit reserves your spot on the schedule once you approve it.

— Questions

Questions we hear in Lebanon

Does it matter that Lebanon drains to a different river?

Not to how the pipe works, but yes to the paperwork. Different basin means different regulated drains and a different drainage board, and on anything touching a legal drain or requiring a permit that determines who you are dealing with. We sort that out before the work starts.

Can you do long culvert and drainage runs on farm ground?

Yes. Outside the corporate limits the runs get long and the culverts get bigger, and that is normal work for us: culvert installation and replacement, open ditch work, and drainage designed around field tile rather than a storm system.

Do you do concrete in town as well as dirt work?

Yes. We remove and replace driveways, sidewalks, aprons, steps, garage floors and pads, and on older in-town properties the concrete and the drainage are usually the same project.

Do you serve Lebanon?

Yes. Lebanon is in Boone County, one of the four counties we work. We are based in Brownsburg, and Lebanon is regular territory.

How much will it cost?

There is no honest way to answer that without seeing the property, because the price is driven by where the water is coming from, how far it has to be carried and what it has to cross. The estimate is free, Casey walks it with you, and you get the scope in writing by email.
