Taken down, hauled off, and the ground put back
Demolition is only half a job. The half people forget is what the site looks like afterward, and whether the hole that is left has been backfilled and compacted in a way that will not settle into a depression two winters from now.
We handle in-ground pool demolition, concrete removal, structure demolition, and the excavation and site restoration that follows. Pool demolition is the one we get asked about most. A pool that is no longer wanted is an expensive thing to look at, and filling it properly is not the same as filling it. The shell is demolished, the debris removed rather than buried whole, the void backfilled with approved fill material and compacted in lifts, then finish graded so the area drains and can be used.
Concrete removal covers old driveways, patios, slabs, walks and pads. The material is loaded and hauled off your property as part of the job, so you are never left with a rubble pile to figure out. Broken concrete is frequently crushed and reused as base material rather than simply dumped.
Structure demolition covers the smaller buildings on a property: sheds, detached garages, outbuildings and foundations. Utilities get disconnected first where that is required, the structure comes down, the material is sorted and disposed of properly, and the footprint is backfilled and graded.
The finish grade is the part we care about. A demolition site that has been left rough is a job that is not done. When we leave, the footprint is clean, the ground is compacted, and the grade sends water where it should go rather than into the fresh low spot where a pool used to be.
