Sewer, water service and boring, permitted and inspected
Underground utility work is the part of this trade with the least room for improvisation. It is permitted, it is inspected, and it has to be built to code the first time because nobody is opening the ground twice to find out. We install and repair underground utility systems while meeting local codes and inspection requirements, and we coordinate the permits and the inspections rather than leaving them to you.
The work covers water service installation and repairs, sewer repairs and replacements, storm sewer installation, utility trenching, meter pit installation, force mains and lift station installation. A sewer spot repair is one of the more common calls: a section of lateral has failed, it is backing up or it is pulling ground water into the system, and the fix is to open the ground at the failure, replace the run and tie it back in properly.
Directional boring is the capability that changes what is possible on a finished property. Open trenching a water or sewer run across a mature front lawn means cutting through root systems, a drive, a walk, and every bit of landscaping in the path. Boring puts the new line under all of it. You lose a pit at each end instead of a scar down the whole property. On older Indianapolis lots with hundred year old trees, that is frequently the difference between a job that can be done and one that cannot.
Our process on utility work is deliberately rigid. Permits and locates first. Verify existing utility locations before a bucket touches ground, because the cost of guessing is a struck gas or fiber line. Excavate or bore, install approved materials, pressure test or inspect as required, coordinate the inspection before anything gets backfilled, then restore what we disturbed.
